Have we lost it? Now where has America gone? I recently heard Stephen Williams speak. I had never heard of him before and didn't know anything about him but this guy has an incredible point. I don't care what religion you are, race or background. His point just flat out makes sense. Stephen Williams Fox News
Why is it that Americans have a problem with reading the facts? Everything has to be politically correct yet in a world religions class we learn about "Allah" but we have to bleep out "God" because somebody might be offended. Own up to it people! America has a background and whether you like it or not, it happened. We can't erase the past. We can talk about the pilgrims but we can't talk about the reason the pilgrims came to America?
It happens to be that the blatant facts state that people came here to practice their Christian faith freely. If you can't handle that, my suggestion is that you get out. Because other countries have histories too. Spain for example, has anyone heard of the Spanish Inquisition? You don't see people in an uproar in Spain because they were a very staunch Catholic nation at one point. You don't see the Italians in an uproar because they once belonged to the Great Roman Empire which I might add was not Catholic and didn't have the Vatican at the time.
We have become so hyper-sensitive and we are always worried about offending people to the extreme. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should go out and slam other people's beliefs and openly ridicule individuals. The law allows us free speech and freedom of religion. But the fact that people have to rephrase what they are going to say so that one sensitive person in the room doesn't misconstrue it and go off the deep end, not that is ridiculous.
Why are people so against Christianity anyway? They have a set of commandments that make sense. You know, it seems that the crime rates have gone up the more they've removed the principles, the country was originally build on, from public view.
But hey, what do I know. I'm just someone who will tell you what I think and not try to please everybody and get nothing done. I'm just trying to look at this from a logical standpoint. Does all the time and money wasted on trying to paraphrase and remove the word God from public and official documents (and argue about it) make sense? NO
And that is my venting for the moment. Does anyone else agree with this?
